Nicole Kennelly, MA
I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand — and are ready for something to change.
Many of the people I work with are navigating seasons of strain or transition: mixed neurodivergent couples trying to better understand each other, creatives feeling blocked or burned out, individuals facing midlife pressures and caregiving, or parents needing support as family dynamics shift.
I offer a space to explore what’s underneath — with curiosity, and no judgment. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and tailored to you. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Restoration Therapy to support meaningful, lasting change.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am certified in Restoration Therapy (Level I).
Philosophy & Approach
I view our human experience through an existential lens that encourages you to engage with your own journey of "becoming" as you create a life worth living. Engaging with life is not always straightforward; it can often be frustrating and overwhelming.
Nevertheless, we all have the potential to change and improve our relationships at every stage of life. Any progress toward a life you find meaningful, no matter how small, is valuable. When you focus on where you have choice, energy and creativity will begin to emerge.
Change doesn’t happen in isolation — it creates a ripple effect. In relationship work, that means understanding not just what happens between you, but what each of you brings into the relationship: your attachment patterns, life experiences, and nervous systems. Together, we work to shift from cycles of disconnection and pain toward patterns of clarity, connection, and peace.

Since everyone is different, I cannot tell you exactly how long your counseling will last and what it will look like. Generally, the process typically begins with building a relationship so that we can understand why you are coming to therapy and identify strengths. The second phase includes identifying patterns to clarify where you want to be. Lastly, we will explore and practice living with more peace and intention.
Some clients may complete as few as 12 sessions, while others have chosen to engage for a longer period.
